Are you stressed out? It seems like everyone these days has too much stress and anxiety. What can you do? Actually, there is a simple, fun, relaxing way to reduce the stress levels in your life. Have a craft night with your friends- and don’t forget the wine!
Why Crafting With Friends?
Crafting with friends will reduce your stress levels, and theirs as well! Creating has been shown to increase the levels of hormones that combat stress, so why not invite your friends to share the benefit with you?
What else reduces stress levels? A little bit of wine shared among friends having a good time does wonders to relieve even more stress.
How to Craft With Friends
You can make this a super special event. Mail out invitations! Remember mail? Won’t your friends be surprised when they get an actual hold-it-in-your-hands invite to a fun time at your home? By sending an invitation, you can also include a materials list so no one is caught off guard by what they need to bring.

Get Ready
You want this to be a fun event, so why not go big with the decorations? Start outside if you can, so people will be in the right frame of mind by the time they get to your door.
-
Get Set
For an elegant touch, make out place cards. Who doesn’t feel more special with their name in fancy lettering is waiting to greet them at the table? Next to the place card, have a wine glass already in place. This makes your craft table look elegant and festive, and sets the tone for the evening!
Get all the extra craft supplies you’ll need gathered together before the event. You don’t want to have to scramble to get things when you’d rather be crafting with your wine– I mean, with your friends. Things like glue guns, extra paper, beads or whatever you need for the craft should already be in the center of the table, or on an extra table so the space isn’t too cluttered.
Putting out snacks is fine, but putting out snacks with a big decorative sign makes it much more festive. Big signs not your cup of tea? Small fancy labeling works to set a whole different feel.
What snacks should you have? Keeping it simple will reduce the amount of stress you feel over the event, so unless you enjoy preparing complicated hors d’oeuvres, go with prepared foods or maybe even candy! You can make it a throw-back by getting candies you remember from when you were younger, and you can bet everyone else will remember them, too. Be sure to pair your candy–um, I mean, snacks with the wine you are going to serve. M&Ms and white? Razzles and red? You and your friends will have an added fun time with snack time, but don’t forget to do the craft!

Go!
Now it’s your chance to enjoy and de-stress! Create signs leading your guests right to the crafting area, so you can relax and avoid having to greet every person at the door then running them back to the crafting area.
With just a little planning, you’ll be feeling relaxed and happy and so will all your friends. Need a craft idea? We’ve got plenty at the Hippie Hobby. We have so many great ideas, you may even want to do this as a regularly occurring event! We hope you have a great time with your Craft-and-Wine Time!
